What Does ASB Do?
By Elizabeth Thurber
ASB at Edmonds-Woodway is a talented group of students working to give back to their school and community. Presidents within different classes are in charge of creating and executing fundraisers. Vice president helps the president and steps in when they are gone. The treasurer handles the money and creates a budget for the class to use. The secretary is in charge of getting forms that allow ASB to do the fundraisers they want. Everyone’s job is to help organize class fundraisers and organize events that will help the school and the students at Edmonds-Woodway. The rest of the positions help with creating and inspiring ideas for fundraisers. The main job of ASB is to prepare for their class’s homecoming or prom. They create posters and decide on themes for spirit week. They help out around school and ensure their class has lots of spirit! The best part of ASB is “[decorating the gym for homecoming] Everyone in your class comes together to create something beautiful” – Ousman Fatty.
